1. Roof shape

Rectangles and L-shaped roofs can be priced as a single sheet. Other shapes provide area and edge estimates for review.

Use the numbered diagram to identify each side. Trim lengths are 250 cm (2500 mm). Each side is rounded up separately; offcuts are not reused in the estimate. Fixings allow 9 nails per gutter or raised-edge trim length, rounded up to packs of 100.

4. Membrane and adhesives

Water-based deck adhesive uses the lower coverage figure and rounds up to whole packs: 2.5 L covers 10–12 m² (calculation uses 10), 5 L covers 20–22 m² (uses 20), 10 L covers 40–44 m² (uses 40). The calculation allows for the full timber roof area.

Spray contact adhesive is optional and is never added automatically. Select the number of 750 ml cans required for your edges, upstands and other bonding details. Check the supplied adhesive's data sheet for coverage and substrate suitability. Water-based adhesive is for compatible timber decks; check the adhesive requirements for other deck types separately.

5. Corners and finishing details

Suggested quantities follow the selected edge types. You can adjust them to suit the roof details. Wall flashing fixings, wall sealant, outlets and pipe/rooflight flashing are additional.

6. Your materials and price

Delivery is calculated separately. Review the quantities and all roof details before ordering. The list covers the selected materials; it does not cover unselected edges or specialist flashing details.
